Global wedding Feb 10, 2010

A global wedding for Carlo Abalos and Atsuko Murano last Feb 10, 2010 in Santuario De San Antonio Parish.

My mother in law gave a speech so poignant and touching it made me cry and everybody else inside the Jade Hall of The Blue Leaf, this was the highlight for me.

How global is this wedding.
-The bride is Japanese, while the groom is Pinoy.
- The presiding priest was Spanish.
- The brides sister, who was the bridesmaid, is fluent in Spanish but came from Japan.
- The brides closest friends came from Singapore and Shanghai, China.
- The primary sponsors is a sprinkling of Nicaraguan, Australian, American, Japanese, Chinese and Filipino.

The ceremonies were translated to Japanese, English, Spanish… whew!!! Talk about global weddings!

Top it off with a host named Judah who was with his wife Earl who got married in Jerusalem, Israel last year.

Best wishes and congratulations to Carlo and Atsuko!!!

Time for a new change (of hairstyle)?!?

For the longest time now since we are planning/preparing our wedding last 2006, lagi na lang akong long hair – pony tail, head band, half pony, side pony… etc…etc..etc.

So for this year, 2010, I will be turning 30years old come September. I plan to do something new for my hair… hair style and hair color.

Ano

I love you Potpot!

My song for you… rendered by Celine Dion… an original song by The Beatles, John Lennon.

Beautiful Boy

Close your eyes,
Have no fear,
The monster’s gone,
He’s on the run
And your mummy’s here.

Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful, beautiful Boy,
Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful, beautiful Boy.

Before you go to sleep,
Say a little prayer,
Every day in every way,
It’s getting better and better,

Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful, beautiful Boy (Beautiful boy),
Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful, beautiful Boy.

Out on the ocean, sailing away
I can hardly wait
To see you come of age
But I guess we’ll both just have to be patient
Cause it’s a long way to go,
A hard row to hoe
Yes it’s a long way to go,
But in the meantime…

Before you cross the street,
Take my hand,
Life is just what happens to you while you’re busy making other plans…

Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful, beautiful Boy(Beautiful boy),
Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful, beautiful Boy (Boooooooy)

_____

I love my family! I really do! And it is even more sweet when we have get together like what happened last December 28, Monday night, in Bonifacio High Street and Market! Market! It has been a very loooong standing tradition (naks! May ganon nap ala tayo!) to have a post Christmas get together and always with a horror movie involved. Fascinated ata kami sa horror movie! Yey!

Started with a dinner sa North Park… lamon to the max! After ay coffee sa walang-kamatayang Starbucks (treat ni Pau! Sosyal!) Tapos ayan na ang movie date – Shake, Rattle & Roll X1 – Diablo, Ukay Ukay, Lamang Lupa. Hahahaha napagod kami kakatawa at kakasigaw!

Thank God for cousins! At syempre sa aking brother at husband  Next year sabi ni Atty Yayay, magpapa-Pinoy Henyo at Charades sya, all categories galling sa Shake, Rattle and Roll! Wow!

Perfect ending during our way to the parking lots, tumugtog ng BIOMAN soundtrack ang Seattles Best Coffee… heeheehee! Next year ulit… looking forward to that!

To my dearest little man (Lance @ 2yo!)

Lance is turning two years old

My dearest Lance,
In less than a week you will be turning two years old! WOW!!! Imagine that! How time flies so fast… Before I had you, I thought that when a child turns two year old he will not need his parents so much anymore… not a baby anymore… I was wrong (and I am so very thankful for that) because I love the thought of you needing me so much still.

Whenever you seemed to lost sight of either me or Tatay… you will shout “TATAY-o! Tatay!” but once you see me you will run to me, open arms with a big big smile on your face… Melts my heart all the time!

I love you for being so open with your affection… you say WOW!!! Whenever you see something colorful… and WHOA! For something extraordinary looking for you… we always get affected by your candor and zest for life! A simple noodles with cheese makes you go WOW with glee!!!

I do not draw well, but my drawings will make you happy… your happiness is very endearing my little man! Thank God for miracles like you! Your Tatay Pau and me is so much in love with each other because of you… our bond is stronger as a family because of you… you bring us so much happiness my dear! Happy 2nd birthday Lancepotpot!

A two year old is so many things.
A tiny discoverer of butterfly wings.
A hugger of teddies, a sweet sleepy head.
And someone to dream for in bright years ahead.
A special new person who right from the start,
has a place in the family and a coarse in your heart.
And just when you think you’ve learned all the things,
that your dear son is,and the joy that he brings,
a hug or a grin comes with such a sweet surprise,
that love finds you smiling with tears in your eyes.

Other kwento:
December 26, 2009 in Greenhills Shopping Center we met with Tita Mia and Kuya Emjae and other ex-Intel Friends of Nanay and Tatay. During our Vmall gimik we went inside Watsons store, there was a free eyebrow shaping offer. So Nanay grabbed the chance, while the Watsons lady was shaping Nanay’s eyebrow, you keep on telling the lady… “Wawa Nanay! Kawawa Mama!” so every sales lady who heard you was so touched by your overprotectiveness towards me, with a big smile on their faces even mine.

December 27, 2009 in Greenbelt 5, Café Murano Restaurant and Art Museum, after hearing mass together in Don Bosco Makati, we had dinner together with Lolo Pa, Lola Ma, Tito Carlo, Tita Ako and Tito Dino. We love the way you ate your big bowl of noodles with olive oil and cheese… you are trying to use the fork but when it kept on falling on the plate… you just scooped the noodles in your tiny hands and put in your mouth…your whole face was so shiny with olive oil and small amount of pepper…heeheehe I told your Tatay and Lolo Pa, that you are having a facial with scrub. While having desserts, you entertained us with your endearing antics using the musical book of nursery rhymes which Tito Carlo gave you. You kept on repeating the “head, shoulder, knees and toe,” Happy birthday and Twinkle twinkle little star nursery rhymes. After every song you will clap your hands and shout Yehey!!!!!

I love you Potpot! The best is yet to come…

Chronicles from the Past: Birthing Story

January 4, 2008 Friday

Around 8PM nagstart ako makaramdam ng sakit sa tummy, parang stomach aches… parang nauutot at merong LBM. No idea ako na yun na pala ang start ng aking labor pains.

I told my husband who is currently working still during that time. Syempre nagworry sya for me… wala sa hinagap namin na yun na yun dahil 1month earlier sa due date ko pa.   Pero nagpatuloy ang pain… tolerable naman… para lang talga ako nauutot na napupupu na ewan.  It went on and on hanggang around 2AM in the morning i am texting na my OB Dr and Paulo still.  I woke up my parents during that time as well. Around 3AM the pain is now every 4-5minutes apart.  It seems the inevitable will happen na talga!  My baby wants to meet us very early!  Paulo and his mom is waiting infront of the Emergency room area of Manila Doctors.  We met him around 4:30AM and i went directly to the Maternity ward because i was fully dilated then.

Everything happened so fast.. i was trying to push and push and push as hard as i can… but then my baby seemed entangled inside his umbilical cord. So my OB decided to do emergency CS operation.  Baby out by 638AM. They all need to stitch me up quickly because the Anesthesia is wearing off.

The staff of Manila Doctors also had a video camera to capture the moments while i  gave birth and they printed a copy of my baby and I’s first portrait together.  Groggy and all,  i still smiled ofcourse!

Went to recovery room by 7AM and to my own room where my family is waiting by 10AM :)
